Euro Defense was a response to behind the line tactics used by the Martians during the Great War. When units like the Dam Busters and Slaughterhouse operated near or in civilian populations something needed to be done for protection. Enter Euro Defense.

Euro Defense was not an offensive oriented group. One could say they were similar to EMGY but at the same time they didn't really operate as a paramilitary/police organization. Instead Euro Defense were more like stewards and guards for towns in Europe.

Two examples of Euro Defense that we have are Olivier of Town 23 and Daniel of Town 24. Both are Bramble Mk2s armed with two revolvers. We also have a Square Mk1 that seems to be Olivier's companion. An oddball in the lineup is the Heavy Bramble from Town 02 and might of shown a shift in Euro Defense's doctrine as the Great War progressed.

Town 23's color scheme is tan, red, and black. Decals are in either yellow or black.

Town 24 is tan, blue, and black, Decals are in either white or black.

Town 02 is pink, yellow, and black. Decals are in either red or white.

Decals

Note the number 23.

Note the number 02.

Note the number 24.

Town 02, 23, and 24 have very similar markings . One is the pentagonal shape surrounds a number and looks to be symbolizing a house. Each of the numbers corresponds to the town the bot is stationed at.

Note the ED and the roundel.

Towns 23 and 24 have the initials ED which stands for Euro Defense. Town 02 on the other hand sports FED which stands for Frontline Euro Defense

The most prominent marking on all the Euro Defense bots is the roundel. It takes on different colors between the different towns but maintains the same shape between them.

Sayings

Note the saying on the launcher.

On the Town 02 Heavy Bramble there is a saying located on the bot's launcher. It is Frontline Euro Defense.

Frontline Euro Defense point to a major departure seen on the other Euro Defense bots. Same with Euro Defense using a robot like the Heavy Bramble. The HB was a much more formidable robot but it also more militarized compared to it's revolver totting cousins. Did this change occur when the EC fractured and front lines started to appear deeper in EC territory? One would think so when your turning in your revolvers for a gigantic missile launcher. From the markings of Fronline Euro Defense, Town 02 is on the frontlines of the Great War. A place where having a Heavy Bramble is more than necessary.
