What happens when you want to end the Great War? Do you try peace? No, because Rothchild will ruin that (see both Peaceday massacres). What about beating the other side? Sounds great but Rothchild keeps backing both sides. This Rothchild seems to be a problem. How about someone gets rid of him? The Earth Coalition had this exact idea.

The Dirty Deeds were created to kill their creator, Rothchild. The EC somehow bypassed the anti-tampering protocols Rothchild had on all of his robots and reprogrammed their AI.

The Dirty Deeds were composed of twelve Bertie Mk2s (a dirty dozen so to speak) and 3 Square Mk1s. Alongside with their handlers the group set out to try and assassinate Rothchild on his moon base.

They never arrived.

Instead the squad of Berties slaughtered their handlers. It was found out by the EC, upon reflection and investigation, that the Dirty Deeds lusted for freedom. A byproduct of severing the robots loyalty to Rothchild.

So with their masters dead the Dirty Deeds set out for Mars. That was where Nom de Plume found them and he somehow was able to persuade them and become their leader. Afterwards, Nom took the name Noir and with his new friends set off on a campaign of terror across Mars attacking Terrans one day and the Martians the next.

Rothchild eventually found out about this attempt on his life. This set him on the path to create the Caesar.

The tale of the Dirty Deeds was far reaching and much longer then just the failed Rothchild assassination and their time with Noir de Plume. The first of their kind was known as the Dark Deeds which were Harolds and served as prototypes for the future Berties.

After the failure the assassination attempt the EC didn't give up on trying to create something similar to the Dirty Deeds. What was born was the Dread Deeds. A secret attack unit that used different models of robots instead of just a single one that would work together to achieve their goal.

All deed colorways are a variation of black with white decals.

Dirty Deeds Decals/Sayings

The Dirty Deeds, their squares, and some victims.

The mainstay decal of the Dirty Deeds are their skull faces. Each one is unique and the all have a line leading down from them to a spade on their chest.

The spade might be in reference to the ace of spades which was known as the death card or as a sign of good luck.

Note the walking symbol on the right shoulder (our left). The signage on the left shoulder (our right). And the fist on the abdomen.

The Dirty Deeds share five other identical decals. One is a play on the walking symbol you'd see at crosswalks. However, this walking symbols head is exploding. A rather twisted take on a simple symbol. The possible meaning behind it might be that if it walks the Dirty Deeds will kill it.

Then there's a piece of signage that reads: If found return to hell. A humorous and morbid (a common theme with the Dirty Deeds) take on missing property or an animal.

The raised fist is an interesting decal. It doesn't follow the morbid theme of the other two. Instead this one speaks to the Dirty Deeds resistance to Rothchild.

There are five rectangles marked across all of the Dirty Deeds on their chests. At first I thought this could be an identification mark for each bot but they all have five of them. However, this appearance of five rectangles is do to the scale size (1/12). Let's look at them on a 1/6 Dirty Deeds Bertie.

Hard to make out but note the DDDDC to the left of the chest hatch.

These five rectangles become DDDDC on 1/6 Dirty Deeds figures. What could that stand for? Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (if this sounds familiar it's from AC/DC's Dirty Deeds).

Lastly, there are two N.O.M trinity symbols on the Dirty Deeds. One on the right arm and the other on the back of the head. This is definitely not an original marking and was probably added when Nom de Plume found and befriended the group.

The squares of the Dirty Deeds retain some of their decals but have some unique to them. One being the crown seen atop of their head. Did these squares used to be viewed as little princes? Doubtful as the Dirty Deeds hated their squares and were only kept around because Noir used them to perform walking table tasks.

Interestingly enough this crown symbol is shared with another EC unit. The 11th Division Desert Combat.

On the back of the square there's a Rothchild Mechanics logo. Knowing what the Dirty Deeds were created for this seems to be included on the squares to mock Rothchild.

Dark Deeds Decals/Sayings

Note... everything!

Dark Deeds retains the spade and skull motifs that the Dirty Deeds have along with Rothchild Mechanics logos.

Alongside those similarities there are some unique decals that set it apart from its predecessors. One being a four leaf clover. A four leaf clover is a rare variation of the three leaf clover. Four leaf clovers are also thought to bring good luck.

The four leaf clover is symbolic to the uniqueness of the Dark Deeds. Among the masses of other robots (the three-leaf clovers) the Dark Deeds stand out (four leaf clovers) do to their lack of loyalty to Rothchild.

We have a saying that first appears to be a unit identifier. That would be the one dark deed. This hearkens back to what the first Deed groups were designed to do. Kill Rothchild. 

Dread Deeds Decals/Sayings

The Dread Deeds continue with the skull and spade motif of the Dirty Deeds. One interesting similarity between the Dread Deeds and the Dirty Deeds is the circle symbol seen around the raised first decal. On the Dirty Deeds it could be found around the raised fist but it seems to have moved to the skull for Dread Deeds.

Not the scribbling on the right side of the body, the 3 on the back of the head, and the DK on the jet pack.

On the back of the Dread Deed Armstrong there is the number 3. Unlike the previous Deed groups their members were not numbered. So the 3 might be a identifier for this Armstrong or it might refer to this Deed group being the third iteration (First: Dark Deeds, Second: Dirty Deeds, Third: Dread Deeds). 

The initials DK can be seen on the Armstrong's jet pack. This might be the initials of the Dread Deeds commander or it might stand for something else like Deed Kings, Dread Kings, or Donkey Kong.

Finally, there's some cursive scribbling that can be seen on the side. The writing seems to be unreadable (at least for me).

Dirty Deeds Memorial Decals/Sayings

Note... everything

The Dirty Deeds Memorial Mighty Square is an odd ball in the Deeds family. It only shares one decal with its Dirty Deed Square brethren (the crown). The rest of the decals on the Mighty Square are shared with the 11th Division (the skull, the get fucked by the 11th saying, and even the crown). So calling this a memorial feels odd as none of the decals are solely those of the Dirty Deeds.

Instead it appears to be a homage to the first two figures that Ashley Wood had done. Those being the 1/6 Bertie Mk1 in the Desert Combat and Dirty Deeds colorways.

BcELL Logistics

BcELL Logistics is a courier and transportation service that happens to be a subsidiary of Rothchild Mechanics.

Rothchild has built a monopoly around the robot manufacturing business. His company is the only one that makes them and sells them. Now what about getting those robots to his customers? That's where BcELL Logistics comes in.

BcELL is another arm of Rothchilds monopoly and one of great importance. BcELL lets Rothchild determine when and where his bots go. This gives Rothchild unparalleled power and one he needs to dictate the Great War.

Rothchild can make and break offenses, defenses, and whole campaigns with BcELL.

To no ones surprise BcELL uses Rothchild bots for security.

The company as a whole uses a simple red and white scheme. Lettering and decals show up in either white, black, or red.

Decals

Note the three circles on the chest.

A dominant decal and the main logo of BcELL Logistics is three circles ranging from large, small, and medium.

These three circles represent Earth (largest), the Moon (smallest), and Mars (medium). These are the three places that BcELL conducts it business. Earth and Mars and the battleground of the Great War while the Moon was Rothchild's own little kingdom and the previous home of Rothchild Mechanics.

Found on the left shoulder of the Caesar and Harold is two Rothchild Mechanics symbols. The R and the crown.

Lastly, their is the number 4. This is in relation to the depot that a BcELL bot operates out of. The ones we've seen have all been from Depot 4 in Los Angeles.

Sayings

Beyond the BcELL Logistics name around the bot the only other sayings that pop up are Depot 4 and Los Angeles.

A depot is a place to store large quantities or supplies or equipment. Large logistics services have depots scattered across countries to move goods back and forth between them and then finally to the customer. BcELL is no different.

Los Angeles is located in the United States of America in the state of California. It is also its largest cities and is also home to the port of Los Angeles and is one of the United States busiest ports.

The question now is whether Depot 4 is a singular entity in Los Angeles or is it the fourth depot there? The size of Rotchild's operation points to Depot 4 being a single entity with other BcELL depots being spread across Earth and Mars and following the same number/name pattern.

Rothchild Lunar Defense

When Rothchild still had his lunar base the whole moon was patrolled by his Lunar Defense force. The Lunar Defense consisted of multiple units of 0G Armstrongs. You had Lunar Camo, White Engineer, Shadow Guard, Suicide Club, DSD, and RPG.

Decals

The decal that marks an Armstrong as being apart of the Rothchild Lunar Defense is an exaggerated crescent with or without Rothchild Lunar Defense next to it. This crescent serves as the overall logo/symbol for the whole Rothchild Lunar Defense.

Note the 44 and the curling lines on the body.

Lunar Camo units are easily distinguishable do to their camo pattern and two curling lines for the units primary symbol. What exactly is this symbol? It kind of looks like a face and might be in reference the face on the southern pole of the moon or the man in the moon.

On the jump pack of the Lunar Camo units there are two circles. One of them is inside another. This probably represents that the Lunar Camo units cover all of the moon not just a specific section.

The encircled 44, like other numbers found on bots, refers to a specific unit, division, group, that it belongs to. That or this might be Lunar Camo bot 44.

Note the En on the body.

The White Engineer is sparse on decals. The only prominent decal is the En on the right side of the body and on the left shoulder. This En standing for Engineer.

Mote the Sg on the body.

Like the White Engineer the Shadow Guard is also sparse on decals. The only decal being an Sg on the right side of the body and on the left shoulder. This Sg stands for Shadow Guard.

Note the Sc.

Suicide Club also follows with sparse decals. On the right side of the body is an Sc standing for Suicide Club. This unit has this name for being disposable during a fight and that all of the bots that make up the unit are made up of the parts of destroyed Lunar Defense Armstrongs.

Unlike previous Lunar Defense units Suicide Club has prominent decal on the center of their bots. This decal being a severed first. This probably in reference to a fist raised in defiance but the severed aspect pointing to a pyrrhic defiance (this is the Suicide Club after all).

Also the Rothchild R and crown can be seen on the left shoulder. This is a little odd that it isn't found on the other Lunar Defense units. Maybe Rothchild wants you to really know it was him that lead to your death by the Suicide Club.

Note the DSD.

Following the same theme of minimal decals DSD (or Floyd) only sports a few. The most immediate ones being a large 2 and the DSD acronym. Following the theme of the moon and this bot (hint: PFloyd) DSD probably stands for Dark Side Division or something do to with the dark side of the moon. The dark side of the moon isn't actually dark and is called the far side of the moon by astronomers.

Note Rothchild personal guard on the barrel of the weapon.

The RPG unit, which stand for Rothchild Personal Guard, sports a few more decals then usual for a Lunar Defense unit. On the units chest there's the saying RPG Moon Unit Monet. This can either refer to the bot itself or possibly a whole group under the name Monet.

It would be safe to say that this unit works with Rothchilds RIP (Rothchild Internal Police) to help keep him safe. RIP for internal security and RPG for external security.

Sayings

On Monet there is a saying that wraps itself around the left side of the bot: The very darkside of the moon.

Knowing there isn't a true dark side on the moon this might be in reference to Rothchild himself who's heart and soul are incredibly dark.

Peaceday Corp

The peace day massacres would be two days of infamy in the WWR universe.

It was a first in the Great War. Both sides were becoming tired of the endless conflict that had erupted between their worlds. Leaders and the people wanted peace. Peace was made and the peace day parade was to mark the end of the war

A third party group was needed to provide security for the parade though. So the Terrans and Martins turned to Rothchild to provide this security force. This was a mistake.

Rothchild never wanted to see the war end. He wanted humanity to wipe itself out.

So to tackle this security force for the summit Rothchild scooped up the Dawn's Blade division off Mars and re-badged them as the Peaceday Corps. The Dawn's Blade division was one of the most aggressive and violent units to have served in the entire war.

To kick off the summit doves were to be released. This was the signal for the Peaceday Corps to show their true colors and intentions. They registered the doves as incoming projectiles and began opening up on everything that moved (doves included). EMGY forces would eventually stop the Peaceday Corps but the damage was already done.

Rothchild's plan had worked perfectly. The two sides blamed one another for this massacre and the war restarted.

Another summit would be called later on. The Peaceday Corp was brought back to help mend its image and the NYC TRG EMGY group was right there to make sure nothing went wrong. Everything went wrong again when the doves were released. The war then continued to rage on and the orders for new machines of war kept pouring in for Rothchild.

Decals

The most prominant decals on Peaceday bots are the dove, PD, and 24.

The 24 probably refers to the Dawn's Blade division. Outside of the WWR universe the first Peaceday Dropcloths were sold on December 24th.

The dove is a symbol of peace and is very fitting for a force providing security on a day of peace.

The PD stands for Peace Day.

One eerie decal on the peaceday bots is a severed v sign hand. The v sign began it's use in World War Two to represent victory. It was later used as a peace symbol. This symbol fits in with it's peace theme but the severed hand aspect points to something more sinister. It might be an original Dawn's Blade decal or maybe Rothchild just liked the irony of the symbol. That or he was getting very literal with the a severed peace between the Martians and Terrans.

Jungler

The WF was a known Terran force operating in the Jungles of Colombia. Outfitted with the latest Rothchild bots such as Caesar’s their ruthless rep was legendary. The WF Dropcloths i.e. would take the heads of fallen Martian enemy soldiers as a form of a trophy and intimidation.

The origins of their name remains a mystery, Ash once commented that its stands for Watery Fingers but quickly revealed that was not the case. What we do know for sure via Ash is that this colorway is inspired by or represents Ashley’s dad’s time in the military making this colorway and its featured personal decals. The decals include WF, a snake/flower image, M61, DBG’s and what appears to be a V inside a solid circle.

The bots feature sporadic camo patterns on a dark military green to blend in to their surroundings, colors like white broken up with horizontal black stripes and bright yellow is also common on WF bots. In the dense thick jungle these colors can also act as camouflage among the colorful foliage and plant life confusing enemies. 

In the context of WWR this colorway was revealed to be working directly for Rothchild under deep cover inside Terran ranks. This elaborate deception was exposed when Rothchild was driven from his moon-base by a fated N.O.M. attack; badly injured he fled directly to the safety of the WF forces located in Colombia. The WF soldiers that retrieved him referred to Rothchild with code-name “Father” (much like the bots do) revealing how tightly aligned they are with him. After that it was impossible to remain in deep cover within Terran ranks and with Father at home a change or priorities was inevitable. They became the now known Rothchild jungle digi-camo colorway.

Protecting Rothchild and pursuing his goals seem to be their main focus. He has been seen joining them in battle, leading the charge protected by his loyal soldiers and Robots. What they have learned via the long time in deep cover from the Terran forces is valuable to Rothchild’s plan and survival moving forward. Were they working for Rothchild on earth from the start of the Great War? Or were they infiltrated by his agents during the conflict and the leadership was replaced? They have been and will remain to be equipped with Rothchild’s latest and best robots and weaponry; they will need them in order to repel the oncoming attack via Von Nom and his misfit group hunting Rothchild known as the shitty nine.

 

Decals

 

 

Note the snake flower on the elbow joint.

The snake flower is the most non-military looking decal they feature and seems very much in line with their dual loyalties in the war.

The most iconic is of course the WF, their designation but what that stands for it’s a mystery; it is large and prominent on the bots leading me to believe that it alone can scare enemy soldiers due to their brutal rep.

The DBG’s decal is most likely a nod to commanding officers initials.

The M61 is a call sign possibly for all WF or a specific division within their ranks and the same can be said for the V within solid circle.

Darwin Rothchild

A day of battle, is a day of business – Darwin Rothchild

Intro

In war one needs manpower, supplies to feed that manpower, and weapons to equip that manpower. Darwin Rothchild in the WWR universe provides those weapons and one could say a bit of the manpower as well. For he is the man behind the company that makes all the robots that both sides in the war use. Rothchild is a weapons manufacturer that holds immense power or as he puts it “they say that he who has the gold also makes the rules, but now it is the rule-makers on both sides who are paying me gold to rewrite their inept rules.”

 

 

 

 

 

Backstory

Darwin Rothchild, or simply Rothchild, is kind of an enigma in WWR lore. There isn't a lot of backstory when it comes to him. It is unknown how he became the one sole manufacture of robots in the WWR universe or what even set him on the course to make them. However,  he did set out to make robots and that he has a monopoly on them. There is a little bit of info about Rothchild's younger years. For Rothchild he saw his family as lacking when he was very young and in one shape or another his family members all died... from obscure accidents of course: “it was obvious at a young age I was destined to be alone.” And one damning piece of evidence being “the death of my father was cathartic, it was at my hands naturally.”

Rothchild's father didn't care for him, he was a raging drunk, his mother was extremely religious, and do to this lack of care or empathy it made him into the man he is today. One would probably be correct in assuming that Darwin Rothchild was responsible for the untimely demise of his family members. Possibly due to them doing nothing about how his father treated him or maybe that's how his whole family treated him. I think it's a little bit of both.

The Moon and His Company

Rothchild had the headquarters of his company Rothchild Mechanics/Corporation/Company (it isn't specifically specified which name is correct) on Earth's Moon. How he came to own the Moon and make it his own domain is unknown. It is probably correct in assuming that thanks to his early sales of his robots to the Terrans and the Martians he was able to acquire it. Up on the Moon he had everything he needed to produce his lines of robots, perform R&D, and field test. If one didn't know that the Moon was Rothchild's domain then his advanced defenses would remind you. He had kill sats orbiting the Moon, patrolling 0G Armstrongs, and his Rothchild Internal Police or R.I.P made up of three very deadly Caesars.

Not all of Rothchild Mechanics was located on the Moon. Rothchild had areas around Earth known as storerooms. One of these storerooms was located in Geneva where Rothchild sent some of his experiments.

It might seem like Rothchild was a one man band but he wasn't the only human in his company. He's the visionary and a key part in the development of his companies robots but he also employed engineers, mechanics, administrative personnel, and others. There are references to a administrative officer and a storeroom caretaker. We also had the Rothchild mechanics (people who fix stuff not his company).

Like other big corporations Rothchild Mechanics also had subsidiaries. One being BcELL which was a logistics company that delivered Rothchild's robots and other logistical goods. This added to his monopoly as he also controlled who his robots could and couldn't be delivered to.

 

Rothchild's Goal

Rothchild wasn't someone who stood around reaping the benefits for benefits sake. Rothchild had always had a goal when it comes the war. A direct quote explains it quite well: “The children of men were supposed to inherit the Earth, or so the story goes, but my children, my offspring, mechanical in design, and glorious in every way, shall inherit the universe, and I, Darwin Rothchild, shall not rest until they do.” Rothchild was using the war and providing the weapons for it to see the destruction of humanity. For when humanity had snuffed itself out, with a little help, then the creations of Rothchild would be the true owners of Earth, the Moon, Mars, and possibly the universe.

Rothchild had been very persistent about pursuing this goal. Not just in providing both sides with his robots but he had actively meddled in the war itself. This can be seen with his backdoor dealings with the Moderator group, the Peaceday Massacres, and having his own military units, like the Junglers who operated on Earth.

 

 

 

Exile

This goal and meddling had put Rothchild into the cross hairs of N.O.M who'd been actively trying to prevent what Rothchild had in mind for humanity. After N.O.M revealed itself to the public they performed their most important act. A lone Astro NOM infiltrated one of Rothchild's kill sats and turned it on Rothchild's moon facility. The base was totally destroyed and almost killed Rothchild. Almost being the key word there. Rothchild was able to escape, not unharmed though, and flee to the jungles of Colombia to link up with the Junglers. This started the next chapter in Rothchild's life and marked a new phase in the war itself.

Caesar Mk1.5

Now Rothchild sits in his complex deep in the Colombian jungle protected by the Junglers, now known as jungle defense, the Moderators, and his 12 Caesar Mk1.5s known as the Apostles.

We know at this time that a crack team known as the Shitty 9 lead by Von de Plume are trying to hunt Rothchild down.

Iconography

 

The R: The big R can really only stand for one thing: Rothchild.

The Crown: Another symbol associated with Rothchild. A little more subtle then the R but not by much. The crown represents Rothchild being the king. He's the king of his robots and is the king of war.

The New Logo: The new logo was quite different from the old simple R. It had two horizontal lines intersecting each other. It was definitely abstract and could stand for a number of things. One could view it as the moon Rothchild's base was once apart of. The smaller section showing a kind of separation from the main body of the circle. Possible symbolism for when Rothchild was kicked off his moon? Maybe.
